TH-F6/F7 Menu



MISC  Tab

Band: Select A or B band, for the default band you wish to be saves with the profile.

Dual: Check this box to enable both bands.  Unchecked, only one band is accessed at a time

Lock: Lock disables most functions on the radio, to help avoid inadvertent changes of settings.

Lamp: Controls screen illumination. 

Attenuator: Controls 20db attenuator.

Display:  Determines whether the display shows Memory Names or Frequency.

Power: Set the power levels for each band.

Balance: Sets audio balance between the two bands.

1 - Scan Resume: Determines the method used to start again after a scan stops for a busy channel.
  • Time: Scan stops for approx. 5 seconds, and restarts regardless of traffic on channel.
  • Carrier: Scan does not resume until approx. 2 seconds after incoming carrier drops.
  • Seek: Scan does not resume.

    3 - Memory Recall Method:
  • All Bands: Using MR recalls all channels
  • Current Band:  Using MR will recall only channels on the same band as VFO is set
     
    5 - Auto Repeater Offset: Automatically calculates repeater offset according to frequency

    7 - Tune Enable: Allows use of the tuning control if keys are locked.

    8 - TX Inhibit: Prevents radio from transmitting.

    11 - DTMF TX Speed:  Select FAST or SLOW for DTMF speed.  Default is FAST

    12 - DTMF Hold:  Keeps radio in transmit mode for up to 2 seconds between key presses.

    13 - DTMF Pause: Determines the length of the pause for a space character when sending a memorized DTMF number.  Available are: 100ms, 250ms, 500ms, 750ms, 1000ms, 1500ms, and 2000ms.

    14 - DTMF Lock: Disables the keypad from sending DTMF tones.

    15 - Power On Message:  Enter the message that the radio shows when it is turned on. Default is Hello!!

    16 - Contrast:  Adjust the contrast of the LCD display.  Settings are 1 to 16

    17 - Battery Saver: The TH-F6/F7 will go into the battery saver mode ten seconds after receiving a signal and/or a key is pressed. It will pulse the receiver according to the period set for the battery saver. Available settings are: OFF, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 (default), 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 seconds.

    18 - Auto Power OFF(APO): The TH-F6/F7 will automatically turn off after an amount of time determined by the Auto Power Off (APO) setting. Choose OFF, 30 or 60 minutes.

    19 - Key Beep OFF disables the entry and error beeps.

    20 - VOX on Busy:  Turn this ON to enable VOX when receiver is busy

    21 - VOX Gain: Sets the gain of the VOX function.  Valid settings are from 0 to 9

    22 - VOX Delay: Sets the VOX delay. Choose from: 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000, or 3000 ms.

    23 - Call Key:  Defines the function for the CALL key.  It can be used to switch to CALL frequency or for 1750 Hz Tone.  Default for TH-F6 is CALL and TH-F7 is 1750 Hz.

    24 - 1750 Hold:  If this is set to ON., the transmitter is held on while the 1750 Tone is transmitted,

    25 - Beat Shift:  Turning this ON will shift the microprocessor frequency and thus move spurious frequencies.

    26 -  Bar Antenna: Turn ON to use the internal bar antenna below 10.1 Mhz.

    27 - Language: Select English or Japanese.

    28 - Packet: Select 1200 Hz or 9600 Hz packet speed. 

    29 - FM Narrow Shift: To enable narrow band FM shift, turn this option ON

    30 - Battery Type: Select Lithium or Alkaline battery type to define the limits for the battery display.
