TS-2000 Menu

Menu settings using the keyboard:

For those who would rather use the keyboard for data entry than the mouse, it is possible to do so in the menu:

Use the Up, down, left and right arrow keys to move around the menu.

When you want to change an alphabetic or numerical value, press the <ENTER> key.   Depending on the data, either a drop-down list will appear, or data may be entered as in a text editor.    For the drop-down list, use the up/down arrow keys to scroll through the values.  Enter data into the text editor as you normally would.   A <ENTER> will confirm the change.

For the selections with buttons,  use the space bar to step among the choices.

For the DTMF editor, a button will pop up when you press return on the data fields.  The buttons spans both A and B fields.   When the button pops up, press the spacebar to click the button, and the DTMF Editor will pop up.   Use the arrow keys to navigate around the DTMF editor, and close it when through editing.

Items 55, 61A, 61E and 62E.  Are not included in the menu because changing one of these settings while downloading can affect the TS-2000's serial port ( e.g. Turning on the TNC will cause the port to go into packet mode, and not respond to data communications ).

Note that Item 5's default is dependent on which version of the TS-2000 you have.   To change the default in link700, click on Preferences/Menu and set the "TS-2000 Menu Item Default" to the value that corresponds to your radio (  ON for E types, OFF for K types )
